The Indian Trails Library strives to ensure that virtual and physical spaces, materials, services and processes are usable by as many people as possible. Electric scooters are available for members while in the library and can be requested from any staff member.

Borrow a Device

A variety of e-readers, iPads, Roku and Wifi hotspots are available for check-out at the Adult Services desk. ITPLD cardholders only. Call 847.459.4100, ext. 3.

Download or stream books, movies and more from your computer, smartphone, or tablet with our digital collection. 

Favorite Author Network (Fan) Club for Adults
Fan Club automatically places new titles from your favorite authors on hold for you. ITPLD Cardholders only. See more info here or call 847.459.4100, ext. 3.

High School Subscription Box

Homebound Mailing Service
Members who are unable to visit the library due to a temporary or permanent disability or illness may request to receive items from the library through the U.S. Postal Service. ITPLD Cardholders only. More info is available here.

Low Vision Services 
Staff will assist members in obtaining services and materials through the Talking Book and Braille Services (TBBS). Popular books and magazines that have been reproduced in braille or audio formats may be ordered free of charge by persons who qualify for the service. See more information here.

Tutor.com: Live one-on-one homework help from certified tutors in a variety of subjects.

Learning Express Library Free courses and practice tests in different school subjects; practice tests for AP classes, the SAT, or the ACT.

One-on-One Appointments

Complete a One-on-One Appointment Form or call 847.459.4100, ext. 312 to meet with library staff for a free one-hour appointment. See more information about services covered here

Program Accommodation Requests

Members requesting accommodation (including American Sign Language interpretation for programs) should indicate the request when registering for the program, calling the library at 847.459.4100 ext. 312 or by contacting the Access Coordinator at access@itpld.org at least 5 days prior to the program

Video Programming

Access stories, crafts and program recordings with auto-generated captions.


Grievance Procedure

This Grievance Procedure is established to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (“ADA”).  It may be used by anyone who wishes to file a complaint alleging discrimination on the basis of disability in the provision of services, activities, programs, or benefits by the Indian Trails Public Library District.
