The Indian Trails Library StoryWalk® is at Reiner Park, 1101 Green Knolls Dr, Buffalo Grove.
Two travelers have been lost at sea and unexpectedly find themselves on the same island. One speaks Spanish and the other speaks English. Can they overcome their differences and find their way to safety?
A StoryWalk combines literacy with physical activity. Start with the welcome post and follow the accessible path to find the next page. Kids will love the anticipation of finding all the story posts and reading a whole book by the end of their walk.
StoryWalk is a joint project between the Park District of Buffalo Grove and the Indian Trails Library and is proudly funded by the ITPLD Foundation.
The StoryWalk Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle and Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg Hubbard Library. StoryWalks have been installed in 50 states and 13 countries.
