Looking for somewhere to volunteer? Do you want to get involved in your community? Consider volunteering at the library. You’ll love working with our staff and our members while helping others in a variety of ways. Please note, that background checks are conducted on all volunteers 18 years and older, a valid email is required. Volunteer Opportunities
Adult Volunteers
Volunteer opportunities include making reminder phone calls to patrons, taking registration outside programs, staffing different daytime or nighttime programs, and other tasks as assigned.
ESL Volunteers
Would you like to help people from around the world learn English? We have opportunities for volunteers to provide one-on-one tutoring, assist teachers in the classroom, and assist students in our ESL Lab.
High School Volunteers (Grades 9-12)
This school year, you have two exciting opportunities to volunteer at the library:
- Weekly Volunteering: To be part of our weekly volunteering opportunities you must attend a volunteer orientation. Even if you were a weekly volunteer last school year, you must do another orientation this year. To book on orientation please request a booking here.
- Monthly Volunteer Kits: Sign up for a volunteer kit you can take home, complete at home and then return to the library. Sign up for a Volunteer Kit here. Then click calendar and search for Volunteer Kit.
Court-ordered Community Service Hours
The library is unable to accept applicants who need to do court-ordered community service hours. Contact one of the following organizations for court-ordered community service hours:
