Book-A-Maker Appointments

Schedule a one-hour appointment in the Launch Pad. Learn how to use the embroidery, sewing or Silhouette machines, or get help with a laser or 3D printing project.

  • Reservations can be made online on the website or by calling staff, at 847.459.4100, ext. 277.
  • Reservations are for one hour with no more than one reservation per WEEK.
  • A library card is required.

If you’d like to get a head start on creating, learn how to use the Silhouette vinyl cutter or sewing machines through Niche Academy.

DIGITAL MEDIA LABS

Reserve any of the three digital media labs. Must be at least 9 years old and have a registered library card in good standing.

Kits & Subscriptions

Exploration Kits

Exploration kits are available to check out and use in the Launch Pad. We have a wide variety of kits exploring crafting and technology.

Launch Pad on the Go

Finish your projects at home by checking out one of these kits. Available for ages 14 and older with an ITPLD library card in good standing. Two week check-out.

Maker@Home Kits

Maker@Home Subscription Boxes are a great opportunity to check out and take home a box filled with supplies you’ll need for a special craft. Available to ITPLD and reciprocal cardholders aged 16 and older.


SUPPLIES & VENDORS

Launch Pad Supplies List

Free supplies are available for ITPLD library members, as well as reciprocal members with cards in good standing. Members are limited to 2 items each week taken from the Supplies List. Members are encouraged to bring their own supplies if their project is larger than what weekly limits allow. No items will be sold through the Launch Pad. The week begins on Monday and ends on Sunday.
