Welcome to our second Maker-in-Residence, Shannon Lee, who will be teaching and working in the Launch Pad this summer.
Shannon is an independent animator, visual artist and educator. Her films infuse science fiction, magical realism, and personal experiences through experimental narrative and animation techniques. Shannon’s animations have been featured at international festivals and she currently teaches at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Watch some of her animations below.
Shannon Lee is offering a 3-part series program called 2D Puppet Making and Animation with the Maker-in-Residence. Learn how to design and create a puppet, then use it to make a short animation. Animations and puppets created during this program will be displayed in the Library at the culmination of the Maker-in-Residence program at the end of the summer.
