Diverse programs offered at Indian Trails Public Library in Wheeling

A basket full of colorful yarn.Wheeling’s Indian Trails Public Library offers programs for writers, gardeners and crafters next week — just to name a few.

People who like to knit, crochet embroider or cross stitch are invited to the library Monday, April 6, for a group crafting session.

The get-together, for adults 18 and older, is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Cook Room at the library, 355 Schoenbeck Road. Participants should bring their own supplies. Registration is required.

Later that day, garden coach Mark Lyons will talk about creating gardens for bees and other pollinators. The hourlong session for adults is set for 7 p.m. in the Lake Room.

Three drawings of friendly bulldogs.Kids can learn how to draw bulldogs during an instructional program scheduled for noon Tuesday. April 7, in the Launch Pad. The session is designed for ages 7-14; adults must accompany anyone 8 or younger. Registration is required.

Author Ginnie Foley will lead a writing workshop on Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. in the Lake Room. The monthly program is open to anyone 18 or older. Registration isn’t required for this program.

A coloring club for adults will meet from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, in the Lake Room. Participants can bring their own supplies or use markers, pencils and pages provided by the library.
