Digital Inclusion Week 2026 is Here!
Hello, Cook County!
It’s here! Digital Inclusion Week is underway, with nearly 140 events bringing learning, creativity, and connection to communities across Cook County!
This week is powered by people: librarians helping neighbors navigate technology, community organizations creating welcoming spaces to learn, and partners opening doors to new opportunities. I’m excited to celebrate their work—and invite you to be part of it.
Here are a few highlights to explore:
-
Our libraries are showing up in a big way! Today, find bilingual tech assistance at Indian Trails Public Library, explore digital resources at Niles-Maine District Library, or try Cricut 101 at Evanston Public Library. Later this week, look for bilingual tech support at Arlington Heights Memorial Library and Northstar digital-skills support at Forest Park Public Library.
-
Technology and education meet at the Obama Presidential Center. Look for CS4IL’s Illinois Computer Science Tournament and Teach Plus Illinois’s AI Coalition Launch, focused on equitable, human-centered AI in schools. Check the event calendar for confirmed dates, times, and participation details.
-
Community partners are making learning local and hands-on. Corazon Community Services in Cicero will teach digital literacy through Lotería on Tuesday and host a 3D Printing & Open Computer Lab Day on Thursday.
-
Young people can explore what’s possible. Restoration Ministries in Harvey hosts Game On! Exploring Artificial Intelligence for Youth on Tuesday, combining hands-on activities with conversations about responsible AI use.
-
Build confidence with everyday digital tools. On Friday, the Coalition for a Better Chinese American Community hosts Chinatown Digital Skills & Technology Help Day, and Beyond Boundaries Computer Training in South Holland welcomes residents to a Community AI Open House.
