This is a comprehensive list of all reading programs and clubs that Indian Trails Public Library offers for members of every age. Registration and program dates vary. Visit the Youth or Adult Services Desks to learn more about these programs and clubs.

Summer Library Adventure

All ages | Every Summer

This reading program encourages the community to read for a 3-month period during the summer months connected to a theme that all ages can enjoy. Programs connect to a central theme where participants can connect through a common interest, subject matter and goal. The adventure starts out with a kick-off event. The completion prize is a themed t-shirt or tote bag.

Reading Programs

Parents and caregivers can register their child for an independent reading program at any time, helping them begin a lifelong reading journey. Participants earn prizes along the way to stay motivated and reach their reading goals.

Reading Clubs

Weekday reading programs encourage children to get excited about books through discussions, activities and shared snacks. Each one-hour session is led by a librarian and takes place at the main library.

Adult | Annually

This annual challenge encourages adults to read 20 books in the calendar year. Prizes and raffle tickets for the chance to win a grand prize at the end of the year incentivizes participants to reach their reading goals.

Adult | Annually During Winter

One Book One Community invites all readers in the Cook Memorial, Indian Trails, and Vernon Area library districts to read the same selection, participate in book discussions and related events, and hear from the author. ​Events are open to all, regardless of home library.

 

Reading Clubs


Rise and Read logo.Rise & Read Morning Book Discussions

 

Members receive one book selection each month. After registering, pick up your book, read it, and then join a smallgroup discussion—led by a librarian—at the morning program time of your choice. 

 


C.S.I. Book Club logo.Launch Pad C.S.I. Book Club

 

CSI stands for Creativity, Science and Inspiration. Staff in the Launch Pad lead this quarterly nonfiction discussion surrounding the themes of creativity, science and inspiration.
