Know the Law For Illinois

  1. Compulsory Attendance – From 7-17 years of age
  2. Daily instruction of a child in English – 176 days
  3. Subjects taught should be equivalent to those taught in public school
  4. No standardized testing required
  5. No state accreditation required
  6. No home visits required
  7. No record of attendance – although advisable to do so
  8. No state requirement for parents to initiate any contact
