Library card renewalLibrary cards expire every three years. You will receive an email notification one month before your card expires. To renew your card, present valid identification at the library and verify account information. Any fines, lost items or fees on the card must be cleared before your card can be renewed.
Your PINUpon registration the library will use the last four digits of your provided telephone number as your PIN. To change your PIN, please visit the Check Out Desk on the main floor.
- All items may be picked up from the Holds Room near the Check Out Desk.
- Items are shelved by last name.
- Members will be notified by phone or email when holds are ready to be picked up.
- Holds will be held for seven days.
Suggest a purchaseTo suggest a purchase for the library, please fill out an online request. You may also stop at the Adult Service desk on the second floor to place your request.
Click on My Account, enter your 14-digit library card number and four-digit pin number, click on “Items Checked Out,” check the boxes by each title and click “Renew” at the top of the list, new due dates will be listed. Items that cannot be renewed will show exceptions.
Present your library card to staff at the Check Out Desk.
Call the 24-hour automated renewal service: 847-465-1836 or 847-465-1837 and follow the prompts. Have your library card number, PIN and barcode numbers for all items you wish to renew. Some overdue items will renew, however late fees still apply and will be reflected on your account.

Paying fines and feesFines may be paid in person with cash, check, or online with a credit or debit card through e-Pay, or at any self check-out station with a credit or debit card.
