View items you have checked out, renew items, place holds, and pay fines by logging into My Account.
Upon registration the library will use the last four digits of your provided telephone number as your PIN.

Library Card Renewal
Library cards expire every three years. You will receive a notification by mail or email one month before your card expires. Any fines, lost items or fees on the card must be cleared before your card can be renewed.
To renew your card, present valid identification at the library and verify account information, such as
- Illinois driver’s license or Photo I.D. card
- Utility bill
- Vehicle insurance card
- Mortgage documents
- Rental lease
- All items may be picked up from the Holds Room near the Checkout Desk.
- Items are shelved by last name.
- Members will be notified by phone or email when holds are ready to be picked up.
- Holds will be held for seven days.
Click on My Account, enter your 14-digit library card number and four-digit PIN, click on “Items Checked Out,” check the boxes by each title and click “Renew” at the top of the list, new due dates will be listed. Items that cannot be renewed will show exceptions.

Call the 24-hour automated renewal service: 847-465-1836 or 847-465-1837 and follow the prompts. Have your library card number, PIN and barcode numbers for items you wish to renew. Some overdue items will renew, however late fees still apply and will be reflected on your account.
