Job Title: Part-time Librarian
Job Description: Provide reference and information services for adult and high school aged patrons in person and by any communications means; provide reader's advisory services or assist other staff in providing Reader’s Advisory; train patrons in use of databases; assist in displaying and highlighting targeted collections.
Qualifications: Master's Degree in Library Science; verbal and written communication skills; computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite, Internet searching and site evaluation, effective database searching ability; ability to deal with a wide variety of personality types calmly and positively. Knowledge of literature relevant to children and adults. The ability to read write, speak, and comprehend English. Ability to read computer screens, type accurately and quickly, and move about the entire public service area. Fluency in a second language is a plus.
Hours: 12 hours per week scheduled during nights and weekends
