The Friends of the Indian Trails Public Library District and the Indian Trails Public Library District Staff Concerns Committee are preparing a World class cookbook with recipes from members of the community, staff and volunteers. Our cookbook will be beautifully illustrated and bound to be treasured for years to come.

We would like you to submit 3 to 4 of your favorite recipes so you will be represented in this memorable collection. Follow the instructions below. Your name will be printed with each of your recipes.

Each cookbook will contain helpful cooking hints, recipe category dividers, table of contents, index, and special pages of interest about the history of Indian Trails Public Library District. The cookbook will be typeset in an easy-to-read format and professionally printed and bound.

Proceeds from our cookbook sales will help fund future projects sponsored by the Friends of the Indian Trails Public Library District and Indian Trails Public Library District staff Concerns Commitee. Your help in contributing recipes will ensure that our cookbook will be a success.

We anticipate a great demand for our cookbooks, and we want to be certain we order enough. You can reserve one or more copies for yourself and your family and friends at this time to be assured of receiving them. Estimated cost per cookbook is $10.

* List all ingredients in order of use in ingredients list and directions.

* Include container sizes, e.g., 16-oz. Pkg., 24-oz. Can.

* Keep directions in paragraph form-not in steps.

* Use names of ingredients in the directions, e.g., "Combine flour and sugar." Do not use statements like, "Combine first three ingredients."

* Include temperatures and cooking, chilling, baking, and/or freezing times.

* Be consistent with the spelling of your name for each recipe you contribute.

* Trademarked recipes names WILL NOT be used.

* Recipes can be submitted in English, Spanish, Polish and Russian and the deadline is August 31, 2009.

* Your recipe should fit into one of the categories.
