eMail Reminder Notices

Indian Trails now sends out an e-mail reminder notice three days before an item is due! This gives you time to finish up or renew before the item is overdue. To take advantage of this service, make sure your e-mail address is correct in your library account, then make sure that the library is one of your preferred correspondents so that the message doesn't get lost in your Spam folder.

No notice is sent out for DVDs checked out for only three days-and not all items can be renewed. Save money, save time and keep your library account current with the new pre-notifier service.

Item Renewal

Avoiding overdue fines is easier than ever! Indian Trails has three ways for you to renew items before the fees add on:

  • Renew online! www.indiantrailslibrary.org and click on My Account, enter your 14-digit library card number and four digit pin number, click on Items Checked Out, check the boxes by each title and click Renew at the top of the list. Items that cannot be renewed will show exceptions.
  • Renew by telephone 24/7! Call 847-465-1837 and follow the instructions. Have your library card and pin handy.
  • Renew by telephone during library hours! Call 847-279-2259 and circulation staff will renew for you and answer any other questions you may have. Be sure to have your library card handy.

  • To renew Interlibrary Loan materials, call 847-459-4100 and ask for ILL. ILL staff will check the lending library to see if a longer loan period is acceptable.

DVDs, videos, new titles, special collection items and patron requested items cannot be renewed. You also cannot renew if your account is delinquent in any way. Sign up for the new Pre-Notify service and receive an e-mail three days before the item is due.
